1. Controller

Steliqo is the controller of personal data processed through its website, commercial communications, demonstrations, research deliverables, target maps, and related services, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

Questions about privacy or data protection may be sent to hello@steliqo.com.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Steliqo processes personal data relating to website visitors, prospects, customers, customer representatives, suppliers, professional contacts, and individuals who may appear in company-level acquisition intelligence deliverables.

Steliqo provides private-company market mapping and acquisition intelligence for business users. The service is designed around companies, sectors, ownership signals, commercial signals, and professional context rather than consumer profiling.

3. Data We Collect From You

When you contact Steliqo, schedule a call, request a demonstration, exchange emails, or become a customer, we may process your name, business email address, organisation, role, phone number if provided, meeting details, message content, mandate criteria, billing details, and related business communications.

When you use the website, we may process technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, approximate location derived from network data, referral URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and security logs.

4. Business and Research Data

Steliqo may process company-level and professional information from public registries, official filings, company websites, public business sources, licensed data providers, customer-provided materials, and manual research.

This may include names of founders, directors, managers, shareholders, owners, professional roles, company affiliations, public biographies, public source URLs, ownership or management signals, and other information relevant to business acquisition research.

Steliqo does not intend to build a consumer database, employment screening service, credit scoring system, or personal email and phone database for mass outreach.

5. Purposes and Legal Bases

We process personal data to operate the website, respond to enquiries, schedule demonstrations, provide services, prepare and deliver research, maintain business records, improve our systems, protect security, comply with law, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases may include contract performance, steps taken before entering into a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in running a B2B acquisition intelligence business, and consent where required for optional communications or non-essential technologies.

Our legitimate interests include responding to business enquiries, conducting company-level market research, maintaining source confidence, protecting service integrity, preventing misuse, improving deliverables, and enabling professional users to evaluate business counterparties and acquisition targets.

6. Website, Cookies, and Similar Technologies

The website may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for security, session management, embedded scheduling, load performance, and core functionality.

Where Steliqo uses optional analytics, advertising, or marketing technologies that require consent under applicable law, those technologies will be used only on the basis of the required consent or other applicable legal permission.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website features, including scheduling and embedded third-party tools.

7. Scheduling and Third-Party Tools

If you schedule a meeting or use an embedded form, your data may be processed by third-party providers that support scheduling, video calls, email delivery, hosting, analytics, CRM, payment, document management, security, and customer support.

Those providers process data under their own terms where they act as independent controllers, or under data processing terms where they act on Steliqo's instructions.

8. Customer Materials

Customers may provide Steliqo with mandates, investment criteria, CRM exports, notes, target lists, market theses, or other materials. Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid basis to provide those materials to Steliqo.

Customers should not provide special-category data, criminal-offence data, children's data, private contact details obtained unlawfully, or information that they are not entitled to use.

9. Public and Third-Party Sources

Some personal data used in Steliqo research may be obtained from sources that are public, officially accessible, commercially licensed, or provided by customers. Steliqo may rely on publicly available notices and this Privacy Policy to provide transparency where individual notices would involve disproportionate effort.

Steliqo keeps the scope of such processing tied to professional context and business acquisition research, and may document balancing assessments where processing relies on legitimate interests.

10. Data Sharing

We may share personal data with service providers, professional advisors, payment and accounting providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, security providers, scheduling providers, email and communication tools, and authorities where required by law.

Research deliverables may be shared with the customer that requested them and with authorised members of that customer's team, subject to the applicable engagement terms.

11. International Transfers

Steliqo may use service providers located in different countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another protected jurisdiction, Steliqo will use appropriate safeguards where required, such as standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

12. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including service delivery, customer relationship management, legal compliance, accounting, security, research auditability, and dispute handling.

Business contact and enquiry data is usually retained for the duration of the relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards. Accounting and legal records may be retained for statutory limitation periods. Research source records may be retained where needed to preserve auditability, source confidence, and legal defence.

13. Automated Processing

Steliqo may use automated processing to classify companies, detect ownership or management signals, prioritise targets, estimate confidence, identify data gaps, and structure company-level research outputs.

Steliqo does not use the service to make decisions that automatically produce legal effects or similarly significant effects for individuals within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

14. Your Rights

Where applicable law gives you these rights, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.

Some rights may be limited where data is required for legal compliance, public-source auditability, legal claims, freedom of information, or other grounds recognised by applicable law.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

15. Security

Steliqo uses technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure, taking account of the nature of the data, processing context, and risk.

No internet service or research workflow can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers and users should protect access credentials, limit unnecessary data sharing, and notify Steliqo of suspected security issues.

16. Links to Other Websites

The website and deliverables may contain links to third-party websites, registries, filings, company pages, or other sources. Steliqo is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

17. Changes

Steliqo may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, service scope, data sources, or operational practice. Material changes will apply prospectively unless earlier application is required by law, security, or operational necessity.

18. Contact

Privacy requests and questions may be sent to hello@steliqo.com.
